Veteran's Event

11:00am to 1:30pm

Bissell Park Pavilion / Senior Center Dining Room


The Oak Ridge Community Band will be performing at the Pavilion Stage
The NJROTC will present the flag 

TN Air National Guard will conduct a low altitude flyover
3 speakers will give addresses (between band selections)
Boxed lunches will be provided for veterans at the Senior Center.

Food trucks will be available for non-veterans. 
Chairs will be set up for veterans in attendance - all others should bring lawn chairs. 

Library Activities

History Speakers Presented by Ms. Rose Weaver

1PM - Cynthia Manley will be sharing her own experiences as well as information about her father, L.C. Manley, who came here to Oak Ridge during the Manhattan Project

1:30PM - Valeria Steele will be speaking about her life here in Oak Ridge as well as the lives of her mother, Dorothy Steele, and grandmother, Katherine Strickland.

Oak Ridge Focused Book Sale! 10am-6pm in the Library Auditorium

Foothills Craft Guild Display: 10am-6pm in the Library Lobby

Opening Ceremony​
4pm - Reception and Networking with the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce 
4:30 - Opening Ceremonies to include a big bang from AMSE and a welcome
           from the Oak Ridge City Mayor, Warren Gooch
