FREE Shuttles and FREE Parking Make Attending Festival Easy - No Parking On-site
Oak Ridge, Tenn. –Since thousands of people are expected to attend the 9th Annual Secret City Festival, the festival committee is making it easy to get around with FREE shuttle service, sponsored by Methodist Medical Center. Buses and vans will be available for transportation to many of the festival’s exciting events on and off-site. The festival is taking place June 17 – 18 in Oak Ridge’s AK Bissell Park.

Fun & Games for Kids of All Ages at the 9th Annual Secret City Festival
Oak Ridge, Tenn. –The toddler, children’s, and youth/teen areas of the Secret City Festival always seem to be busy. That’s because most of the activities featured in those areas are geared towards age-specific groups, and everything is free, with the exception of the pony rides – but the pony needs a break sometimes.

Famous Faces to be Onsite at this Year’s WWII Reenactment
Oak Ridge, Tenn. –There are a few changes to this year’s World War II Reenactment that should get visitors to the 9th Annual Secret City Festival excited. The festival takes place at AK Bissell Park on June 17 – 18. In previous years, the WWII Reenactment has taken place twice on Saturday, with approximately 200 reenactors from both sides of the conflict, black powder, loud booms, and lots of action.

Juried Arts Return to Secret City Festival for 5th Year
Oak Ridge, Tenn. –TN Creates, a juried arts show hosted by the Oak Ridge Art Center, will return for a fifth year to the Secret City Festival. The annual show will take place from 10 am to 6 pm on Friday, June 17 and on Saturday, June 18.

Tickets On Sale May 2 for 9th Annual Secret City Festival Entertainment
Oak Ridge, Tenn. –It’s festival time again in Oak Ridge! The bands have been selected, the schedule is getting full, and tickets to this year’s headliner concerts go on sale Monday, May 2. Tickets will be priced at an early bird rate of $15. After June 6, ticket prices will go up to $20.

Secret City Festival Antiques and Collectibles Show
Oak Ridge, Tenn. –The 9th Annual Secret City Festival’s Antiques and Collectibles tent still has a few openings for antique dealers who want to display and sell their merchandise. The antique show coordinator, Mike Bradshaw, has requested that interested dealers contact him immediately as available space is limited and will be filled on a first-come basis.

Sponsors Recognized at Secret City Festival Kickoffs
Oak Ridge, Tenn. –The planning and fundraising for the 9th Annual Secret City Festival officially began last week during the annual Kickoff held at the Y-12 New Hope Visitors Center. The kickoff, sponsored by B&W Y-12 and the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce, focused on thanking returning sponsors and recruiting new ones.
